$3,250 Minimum Guaranteed Prize Fund:

· Premier $600/$400 U2000 $150 Top BC player qualifies for BC Closed
· U1900 $400/$200 U1700 $150
· U1500 $300/$200 U1300 $150
· U1000 $300/$200
· Top Unrated (best score in any section) $150/$50
· Prizes will be distributed by PayPal, electronic transfer or mail within 48 hrs

Entry Fee: $60 on or before Jan 13th, $70 on or before noon on Feb 15th. $85 on site. $20 to play up a section if rating within 100 points, $40 if within 200 points. $20 discount for 2nd or higher same family.

Free entry for GM/IM/WGM if entered by Jan 13th

Time Control: Game/90 +30 sec. increment

6 Rounds: Sat. 12:00 noon, 5:00pm Sun. 10:00am, 3:00pm Mon 10:00am, 3:00pm

Accommodation: Executive Airport Plaza Hotel 604-278-5555, $149 single/double (mention BC Open Chess when booking). Free parking for guests. $7.50/day for other players (purchase tickets at tournament registration desk).

Registration: Online, or by mail (cheque payable to Victoria Chess, 1012 Spiritwood Pl. Victoria, BC V8Y 1C6). On site up to 11am on 16 Feb.

Misc:

· CFC membership required. Annual $38/$25 adult/junior, OR tournament membership (TM) $16/$8 junior adult/junior (good for one event) available onsite. Free TM for unrated players in U1000 section.
